Product Details Introduction

Product Introduction:

Wooden substrate PET decorative panel is a decorative panel widely used in whole-house customization. It adopts PUR adhesive and special flat lamination equipment to accurately bond PET decorative film to the surface of wooden substrates such as MDF, PB, OSB, plywood and solid wood board. This board is extensively applied to decorative parts including cabinets, wardrobes, room doors and wall panels, featuring both aesthetics and practicality.

2  Substrate: Wooden substrate

a. MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) : Manufactured by breaking wood or plant fibers into fine powder-like fibers, drying them, and blending them with urea-formaldehyde resin or other adhesives. The mixture is then pressed under high temperature and pressure. MDF features a smooth surface and a uniform, fine internal structure.

b. PB (Particle Board) : Commonly known as particle board in the market. Produced by breaking wood or wood residues into particles or chips, blending them with adhesives, and pressing them under heat and pressure. Generally, the larger the particles, the better the mechanical strength of the board.

c. OSB (Oriented Strand Board) : Made from large, geometrically shaped wood strands (similar to thin wood flakes) that are oriented in specific directions — usually with the surface layers aligned longitudinally and the core layer aligned transversely. These layers are bonded with adhesives, typically MDI glue (a formaldehyde-free, eco-friendly adhesive), under high temperature and pressure.

d. Plywood: Also referred to as plyboard or multi-layer board. Manufactured by cross-laminating multiple thin wood veneers, with each adjacent layer oriented perpendicular to the previous one, and bonding them with adhesives. Usually produced in odd numbers of layers such as 3-ply, 5-ply, or 9-ply.

e. Solid Wood Board: Made from complete, natural wood (solid lumber) that is sawn, dried, and planed while preserving the wood’s natural grain and characteristics. Depending on the structure, it can be a full solid board or a finger-joint board (constructed by joining short wood sections).

Product Advantages

Food-Grade Eco-Friendly Assurance

The surface finish utilizes food-grade PET material, free from odors and harmful volatile compounds, ensuring safety even with direct contact. Ideal for cabinets, sideboards, and other applications involving indirect food contact. The substrate employs carefully selected E0/ENF-grade eco-friendly materials, featuring formaldehyde-free MDI adhesive that meets environmental standards. With extremely low formaldehyde emissions, it complies with home health requirements.

Premium Aesthetic and Texture

Surface finishes include ultra-matte, high-gloss, skin-matte, metallic, embossed, and more. With uniform, rich color tones, these finishes effortlessly elevate the visual quality of the panels. Notably, the skin-matte series features a skin-like coating that feels smooth and skin-friendly to the touch, eliminating any cold sensation. This enhances comfort in home environments, making it ideal for high-touch areas like children's rooms and bedrooms.

Exceptional Durability and Easy Maintenance

Superior scratch resistance, stain resistance, and yellowing resistance. Daily oil and dirt stains wipe away effortlessly. Paired with PUR flat bonding technology, it adheres firmly without peeling or bubbling, ensuring a long service life.

Structurally stable, moisture-resistant, and warp-resistant

Structurally stable, moisture-resistant, and warp-resistant

The high-quality wood-based substrate features a dense structure, combined with the moisture-resistant properties of the PET film, significantly enhancing overall moisture resistance. This prevents warping and cracking due to temperature and humidity fluctuations.

Flexible Adaptability to Diverse Substrates

Compatible with various wood-based substrates including medium-density fiberboard (MDF), particleboard, oriented strand board (OSB), plywood, and solid wood panels. Flexible selection based on budget and application (cabinet bodies / door panels / wall panels) ensures both practicality and cost-effectiveness.

Product Application Process

cutting common equipment

1  Cutting: The process of cutting large-format decorative panels (e.g., 1220 × 2440 mm) into required components such as cabinet side panels, doors, and shelves according to design dimensions.
Common equipment includes: precision sliding table saws and electronic panel saws (CNC panel saws).

Edge Banding Common equipment

2  Edge Banding: The process of sealing the edges of the cut panels to cover exposed substrate surfaces. Edge banding provides moisture resistance, reduces formaldehyde emission, and improves overall appearance—making it a critical step in decorative panel applications.
Common equipment includes: manual edge banders and fully automatic edge banding machines.

Drilling Common equipment

3  Drilling: Creating holes at specific positions on the panels (such as connector holes, hardware holes, and screw holes) to support furniture assembly, including cabinet joining and hardware installation. The accuracy of hole positioning directly affects assembly stability.
Common equipment includes: bench drills and CNC boring machines / CNC machining centers.
